Rugby World Cup Night

On Friday I went down to the Viaduct Habour in Town for the Rugby World Cup Opening.
Before 4pm everyone took there places to see the arrivals of the Maori Waka that came through. Every waka represented each Nation in the Rugby World Cup. They were welcomed by their Kaikaranga.

In the front it was packed so I pushed my way through to get a better view. When they did the Haka it was really cool because they looked like true Maoris with their Taiaha, their Maori patterns and the uniform they were wearing. When they did the Haka some people that I was standing next to were scared and I found that really funny.

The thing that really annoyed me was that there were too much people and they kept on pushing and shoving.

When it was 6pm we left to go home. But when we got to the train station it was packed and we had to stand up and wait for a very long time.

I was finally at home just in time to watch the Opening Ceremony with no people to annoy me. The Opening Ceremony was spectacular with all of the Fireworks and Entertainment, they were at the Sky Tower, Viaduct and at Mt. Eden. I’m sure that it took them a very long time to put it together and alot of hard work as well.

I had a really cool day and night and if you were there or if you watched it I hope you enjoyed it.
