Our day out in the holidays

Sylvia Park was the only thing on my mind when the holidays started. So on the 20th of October I went to my friends house to sleep over because we wanted to plan a day out to watch Paranormal Activity 3.
We asked all our Glen Taylor friends to come with us so we can hang out with different people.

We all met up at my friend Anna’s house. Finally we were at the train station getting ready to go to Sylvia Park. When we got to Sylvia Park we went straight to the movies to pay for our tickets but we were scared that we were going to be rejected because you have to be with adults when you watch horrors. But luckily we were allowed to watch it because there is two versions of Paranormal Activity 3 , one of them is rated M and the other version is rated R16.

When we finished paying for our tickets we went to buy some food for the movie. So went and got Chips, Drinks, Chocolate, Lollies and much more junk food.

Finally it was time to go into the movies. My heart was pounding because I was really nervous. As it started I text Sylvia (my friend) to tell her if I text you it means I am dropping it because its too scary and she said okay. The movie was really frightening but the sound was really loud and scary , it was even scarier than the movie itself.

After the movie finished we came back to Glen Innes but it was only early so we decided to Bus to Mission Bay to have a swim because it was really hot. The only thing that I was angry about is that we were in our skinnies and hoodies because we only planned on going to Sylvia Park. But anyway when we got to Mission Bay our friends wet us so we ended up going for a swim. While we were there we saw Eko Malu, he is a Junior Warriors player. At around 6:30 we came back to Glen Innes soaking wet , it was really uncomfortable walking around in wet jeans.

That was the end of our day and we really enjoyed it. I wish we can do it again but plan our day before we go.

Thinking Skills

This morning our class Room 22 did a challenge involving Thinking. They got given 5 different objects and a problem. The thing they had to do is to try and solve their problem with the 5 objects they had. It was really funny watching them because some of them weren't thinking but they were just being creative. But it was really cool seeing all of the different ideas that they came up with.

In the end only two groups succeeded. Their problems and objects were really good together and it made them succeed. Their thinking skills were good.

The last term

“OMG!” It’s already the last week of term 3. It was a very fun and fast term.

For the last couple of weeks our teacher Ms Tito has been very busy because she is going around the school doing a lot of things.

First she is sorting out Production for our Intermediate side. Shes been doing the classes masks, she has been sorting our costumes out and trying to organise the people who have left in the last minutes. That is a lot of things to do.

While she has been doing the things for the Production she has been trying to sort out our class. We have been getting split up into other senior classes and it has been different. Our class has forgotten about the Room 22 way because of that and Ms T gets hoha and I also miss our routine because we are good when we do our routine.

Most of these last couple of weeks I have spent my time in Room 20 with Mrs Nua and Room 19 with Mr Harris. When we go to those classes its different because they don’t do the same things as our class. But we still do fun things there.

On Friday our Senior Ponamu Kapa Haka group are doing a special performance to welcome special visitors. Those special visitors are Te Pune Kokiri. These people are special because they helped our school by giving us a lot of money for our TLN - Manaikalani wireless. So that is very nice and generous.

So overall I have had a really good time but I still miss our routine.
